Gumboot Throwing

Today Room 11 children joined the long line to score points for their 'House Team' by throwing a gumboot. There were some amazing throws. Ayush let the gumboot slip through his fingers. It was great that the sun did shine for us to do this. Most of us scored twenty points for our 'House Team'. It is super when the 'Student Council put on fun activities like this.

Mini Worm Farm

Last Friday as part of Green Day as a class we made two mini worm farms. We enjoyed holding onto the wiggly worms and there was lots of squeals and laughter before we put them into our farms.
We hope that the worms will give us heaps of worm wee for our class garden where we also planted corn and carrot seedlings.

Bubble Blowing

The Fantail reading group were making different ways to blow bubbles. First they made bubble blowers with a straw. This was really cool the bubbles were huge. Then they made bubble blowers out of paper clips. The bubbles were big. They were cool. It was a great idea. We liked all the bubbles floating in our classroom.

Room 11's Garden

Great success from Room11's garden. Twenty eight potatoes all together. Wow! We had a great time cooking and eating the potatoes with the skins on. Thanks to Mrs. Ebsworth and her team for helping us in preparing our potatoes for us.
